EPTAC Corporation Conducts RoHS Lead Free Audits In China

Manchester, NH -- April 16, 2008 -- Leo Lambert of EPTAC Corporation recently visited Flextronics Industrial (Shen Zhen) Co., Ltd. / Flextronics Technology (Shen Zhen) Co., Ltd. in Xixiang, Shen Zhen, China and Nokia Telecommunications Ltd., Dongguan Branch Co., Nancheng High-tech Industrial Park, Guangdong Province, Dongguan City, China to conduct IPC Certification for EU RoHS Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability Audits for the IPC under an ongoing arrangement with the IPC to support the growing interest in RoHS lead free process support.

The IPC Certification for RoHS Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability Program was designed to provide a manufacturing standard of reference for companies to aspire to as they convert their electronics manufacturing process to lead free alloys. These audits, when successfully completed, allow companies to display an IPC Certification that they are in compliance with good standard practices and are capable of producing quality lead free products that meet the RoHS directives.

Leo Lambert, Vice President and Technical Director for EPTAC Corporation conducted the audit process and oversaw the initial evaluation and audit of the Nokia and Flextronics facilities. "Both audits were very successful as everything was in place and the staff and companies were totally supportive of the process and the program," noted Mr. Lambert.

The IPC Audits operate under the guidance of Anthony Hilvers, IPC Vice President of Industry Programs. “The IPC is delighted that both of these world class companies have been certified and that they have been certified by one of our most trusted auditors," notes Mr. Hilvers. "The auditor is a vital component of the audit process. Unlike other industry audit programs, IPC requires that not only must our auditors be degreed engineers but must have a decade or more of electronics assembly industry experience. In that regard, Leo Lambert exceeds these stringent qualifications.”
