J-STD-001 Specialist (Recert)

This 3 day course is for anyone needing to renew their existing J-STD-001 Specialist Certification. Attendees will review the J-STD-001 standard and must successfully complete open and closed book exams along with soldering workmanship in order to renew their J-STD Specialist certification. Recertification is required every 24 months.

J-STD-001 Specialist

This program is for experienced solderers seeking an in depth knowledge of the J-STD-001 Document. The course reviews this document and helps students learn how to interpret the criteria. Open and closed book exams are required after each module. Hand Soldering skills need to be performed and pass inspection. Students must pass both exams and

J-STD-001 Instructor

This is a combination lectured and hands-on course covering the information in the IPC J-STD-001 document. The J-STD-001, “Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies”, describes materials, method and acceptance criteria for producing soldered electrical and electronic assemblies. This document has been adopted for use by the Department of Defense (DoD) effective July 19, 2001.

Hand Soldering Certification (Recert)

This 1 day course is for anyone needing to renew their existing Hand Soldering Certification. Attendees will review the fundamentals of soldering criteria and complete soldering workmanship in the appropriate soldering modules they need to renew their Soldering certification. EPTAC will also recognize third party soldering certifications that are less than 2 years old.
