IPC-A-610 Specialist

This 3 day lecture course is for anyone needing to obtain an IPC-A-610 Specialist Certification. Attendees will review the IPC-A-610 standard and must successfully complete open book exams in order to obtain their 610 Specialist certification.

Recertification is required every 24 months.

Day 1

  • Introduction -Establishing and Maintaining Program Integrity
  • Foreword, Applicable Documents and Handling
  • Hardware Installation
  • Soldering (including High Voltage)
  • Open Book Examination
  • Closed Book Examination

Day 2

  • Terminal Connections
  • Through-Hole Technology (including Jumper Wires)
  • Open Book Examination

Day 3

  • Surface Mount Assemblies (including Jumper Wires)
  • Component Damage / PCBs and Assemblies
  • Solderless Wire Wrap
  • Open Book Examination
  • Instructor/Student Conference

Day 4 – Optional Interactive PCB Inspection Lab

This optional, 1-day lab utilizes, lectures, visual acuity exercises, and physical assemblies to provide the students with an experience in visually inspecting printed circuit assemblies

Test, Pass the Exam(s) and go directly to IPC Certification. If you understand the content of a particular program, inside and out, a challenge test might be for you. Simple to set up, EPTAC will get you on your way and the rest is up to you.
