REStronics New England to host IPC’s Northeast Regional Solder Skills Competition

REStronics of New England will be the first ever to host a regional soldering competition event where the winner will earn an invitation and entrance into the national competition which will be held at the APEX Show in San Diego, CA in 2013.

Competitors will be judged on assembling a variety of electronic devices to a printed circuit board. The assembly must be soldered to IPC class 3 standards and specifications. The winner will have the fastest time with the least defects. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Leo Lambert, Vice President and Technical Director of EPTAC Corporation will be one of the judges for this particular event. Leo has served as a judge for several of the other competitions in the past and has been and continues to be a member of several IPC Committees involved in the development of the standards and specification which participates in the contest will be measured against.

Details are as follows:

First Place: $500
Second Place: $250
Third Place: $100
